This is problem with the TV stations running late, not with your guide or recordings. The only way to fix it if you have two tuners is to set the first program to record 5 or 10 mins extra. This will then force MCE to use the second tuner to start recording before the first program is finished.
Select MoreInfo-Record Settings fro the first program.
You will also want to set the second progrma to record 5 - 10 mins later as well or you will miss the end of it too.

When I record shows that occur back to back, the beginning of the second show is always on the end of the 1st recording.
Having two tuners I was under the impression that they would both be utilised in this situation.
I have selected the 2 tuner option in the MCE setup.
I am not watching TV at the time.
Is there another setting somewhere?
Your message is just a little unclear...the beginning of the second show will be appended to the first depending on your Stop Time setting. Are you saying the second show doesn't get completely recorded at all or that it is recorded but completely tacked on to the end of the first?
That is the problem with TV Guides they arn’t that accurate to the actual broadcast so really unless the TV broadcast go exactly to what the guides say you can’t do much except extend the padding to cover both shows on the one recording

Oz
I have the default recorder settings set to 4 min before and after.
Yet the first few minutes of the second show are on the tail end of the first. Therefore the second recording starts a few minutes into the show. I understand that 1 tuner is set to record 4 minutes late, but shouldn't the second tuner kick in to record the second show 4 minutes early?

I have found that the default 4min over thing only works if MCE has nothing else to record. So when I have back to back stuff, I always introduce recording specific padding.

MCE will use the same tuner for both shows if one the same channel and only soft-padding is used. If you use hard-padding then it will be forced to use the other tuner.
