Crash to desktop when browsing video files

We've just built ourselves a new computer with media center, mainly to watch divx videos on, and it's crashing out to the desktop quite regularly when you browse through the folders. Is there any log file or anything where I can see why it's crashing? Thanks

Re: Crash to desktop when browing video files

what are you using to decode your divx files ?

the latest divx 6 will do weird things within MCE. go a version before ... I use divx codec 5.22 ... or use what most people here would suggest and get ffdshow
