New MCE System - Can't find TV Channels

I have the box up and running fine with no hardware issues that I am aware of.

I am running a Dvico Dual Digital Card. The Fusion HDTV Application that comes with the card works fine - picture and sound are perfect, no stutter, PIP etc all work as it should.

However I cannot get MCE 2005 to find any TV channels. My TV signal is good (averages about 84-87% on the HDTV App Signal Strength meter. A HDTV STB normally runs on this aerial with no problems.).

I had previously read one of Arky's posts which said to get your system working properly before attempting to sort out any issues with MCE which I have done. With a clean install and not loading the HDTV App I still have no luck.

Can anybody help as I am run out of ideas.

Can depend on which drivers you are using...

See if this helps: http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Supp...ID=9&SCATID=41

Re: New MCE System - Can't find TV Channels

HI AGW,

I have just finished my new MCE.

Did you scan with the Fusion HDTV application first, before scanning with MCE?

If so, this might be the problem. I did this with my Kworld (Philips) tuner, and could not scan with MCE after. Just could not find any channel. I did a clean re-install from my Acronis image and then scanned with MCE without a problem. i think any other application hijacks the tuner.

Hi Agw

Have you installed Rollup 2 yet? I had a similar problem which was sorted out after installing the update.

Re: New MCE System - Can't find TV Channels

Hi OldManEmu,

I have installed RU2.

I am thinking of re-installing the Beta Drivers (3.21.01) for the Dual Tuner Card. I am currently running the 3.20 drivers.
