Against Simbot82's advice (oops...
) I purchased an Sapphire ATI Radeon X800GT (PCI Express) card over the GeForce 6600GT.
I have installed the latest ATI drivers for MCE, along with Direct X 9.0c.
However I still get the occasional stutter, and sometimes wavy lines in the background if the action in picture gets too fast (on TV only).
I have two questions
:
1. What is an acceptable stutter rate (assuming your signal is good); and
2. Are there any other decoders / drivers / software I should consider to improve my MCE performance.
Set Up

- AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+
- Mobo Gigabyte K8 Triton Mobo (GA-K8NF-9)
- 1 Gig RAM
- Sapphire ATI Radeon X800GT (PCI Express)
- DVICO digital TV Tuner Card
- Using on-board sound
Any help would be great, as if I get this sorted out WAF will go thru the roof and I can purchase a serious LCD / Plasma
