RU2 Sound Problems on all Channels Except SD 7 and 9

After installing the RU2 update on my clean machine (it has nothing else on it except WinXP MCE, EPG Runner and all the recommended Updates as of today, including .NET), the audio on all channels except SD 7 and SD 9 sounds jittery/muffled/echoey/underwater-like.

Has anyone encountered this after installing RU2? (THINKING ALOUD: Could this be an AC3 issue? If so, that would be unusual given I thought AC3 only transmitted on the HD channels. So why is it happening on SD 2, 10 and SBS?!)

When I record SD 7 or 9, the playback is good. If I record any crappy sound channel shows, they play back slightly sped up and the audio matches the crappy live sound but it's faster matching the increased speed.

I am using the latest 3.11 DVICO driver. Sound and picture is perfect on all SD and HD within Fusion's TV interface, so I know the signals are fine and the cards/driver is working 100% properly. I have tried rescanning services in MCE RU2 and get 26 (same as before) at 100%. But the sound remains shocking on all but SD7 and 9. I've read
SPG and NAC's AC-3 audio problems thread but I don't think it applies (maybe I'm wrong).

If I can only solve this problem I think I will finally have a stable setup. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Re: RU2 Sound Problems on all Channels Except SD 7 and 9

THANKS to Simbot for this fix:
Installed Nvidia Purevideo decoder and it restored sound perfectly on all channels SD and HD. It's available here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html

I have noticed that image stuttering occurs on HD 7 and HD 2(ABC). The image stutters about every second. Sound all OK.

Programs record with sound OK. Programs on the 'stuttering' channels HD7 and HD ABC record the stutter but sound is OK.

Programs I recorded earlier in the day (shows with awful sound), before Nvidia Purevideo was installed, played back perfectly after Purevideo was installed.

Still need to fix HD 7 and HD 2 stutter. Probably has something to do with deinterlacing and maybe Nvidia will post an update for Purevideo.
