A friend obtained a copy of Windows Vista build 5231 (supposedly the latest build. Uses the fancy Aero GUI).
After installing it and having a look around discovered it has MCE included.
Looks pretty much the same as MCE2005 except for fancier, more animated menus. And a few more menu options.
We installed a Twinhan TV card into his system and successfully loaded the lastest Twinhan drivers. But when we went to “setup TV signal” in MCE it said “no TV tuner found”.
Not going to pursue it any further as getting MCE 2005 up and running is challenging enough considering it is official and supported and MCE Vista is not.
Just a hint here, I am not questioning your friends honesty, BUt unless he is a beta tester releasing info such as this on a public forum may not be the best idea.
On the other hand if he is a legit beta tester then he should also be under NDA which you have just breached for him.
