Nvidia 77.79 MCE drivers cause recorded TV playback to crash

I've just installed the latest Nvidia Forceware 77.79 MCE drivers. When playing recorded TV, Media Center will severely crash about 10-15 minutes into the program (not straight away ... but after a while). If I can get my system to respond then it complains about the video drivers. After reverting to previous drivers it works okay again. The Windows XP Forceware 78.01 cause the same problem. I'm keen to get 77.79 working because the old drivers don't work very well with Battlefield 2!

Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

By the way ... a good way to destroy Media Center WAF is to install Battlefield 2 on the Media Center PC and then play it all night preventing wife from watching pre-recorded "Better Homes & Gardens". I've set it up so she can watch the recorded tv on my wireless laptop but that apparently doesn't pass the WAF test. She likes the convenience of the Media Center GUI!

My computer:
Shuttle ST20G5
Athlon64 3000
MSI Geforce 6600GT
Geil Dual Channel PC3200 400MHz DDR, 1.0GB (2x512M)
1Gb Geil Memory
Avermedia DVB-T Tuner
PowerDVD6 Decoder software
Media Center 2005 fully patched (not Emerald though)
Pioneer DVR-109 DVD
Geil Dual Channel PC3200 400MHz DDR, 1.0GB (2x512M)

Yes I have seen that... my solution was to install the beta drivers 78.1 found at 3dguru.com
