MCE video quality worse than WMP 10!

Can someone help me out here? I am running XP MCE in 1080i resolution on my Sharp Aquos. I notced that when watching ultra widescreen (2.40 aspect ratio), all zoom modes try to stretch to fill my screen. Right now, the best mode for me is zoom 3, but even that the top and bottom is stretched to fill vertically!!

You may be wondering right now, what's the problem, isn't that what I want? NO...I don't want to sacrafice video quality just to fill my screen. I want to see the horiztonal black bars...

Playing SAME video in WMP 10, the video appears correctly (with the black bars) and MUCH MUCH sharper. But, I'd rather use MCE of course for the theatre experience...

So, can someone answer me, how can I tell MCE to stop stretching and treat my video like WMP 10 does?

Thanks a lot for any advice...
