Question Getting S video input working on a digital card

I have a Hauppaugge Nova S Plus (DVB-S) that has an S video input on it which i would like to run a sky decoder in thru (only for one channel, so don't need a IR blaster. Or do I for this to work?) I want it to be recognised in MCE as it seems to work with an analogue card.
I have tried the reg hacks, but to no avail, as I only have one tuner - it just has an input on it. I read the post on dual tuners and tried what was said but it didn't work (or i did something wrong!)
I have been able to use the input with the WinTV software before, but once the reg hack (DVBS-DVBT) is applied, wintv no longer works. And i don't want to rolll back just to watch one channel
Does anyone have any info as to if what I want to do is acheivable? Or am I just going to have to buy an analogue card as well?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this ahs already been covered.
Dan
