WMP11 not adding new audio files added to My Music

Hi,

I've always found WMP11 to be a stroppy bugger but its really annoyed me today.

Added 6 or so new albums of ripped audio files to my 'My Music' folder... which I do all the time and rarely have any probs.

The files had a few albums of FLAC, a few of WMA and one of regular MP3 - all perfectly tagged via 'Tag'n'Rename'.........

Anyway after multiple attempts to get the library to scan for new changes via going into it in options.....it'd scan right over the files - I could see their names come up but it wouldn't add a single file.

After doing this a number of times I wiped my WMP profile via this great command line to locate them all: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player

Now it wouldn't ADD a single thing????? It would FIND them all - just not add them.

I have WMP Tag Support Extender 1.4 and have no probs with FLAC etc - anyone have anything like this happen?

I restored to my latest Acronis Image and the same thing.....even playing the files won't get them added to the library!
