Tuner not found strikes again

Hi all,

Sorry for the first post to be support but I need a hand, I'll try to summarise it quick, may not read well but won't be so long.

Just got the Hauppauge 2200, works fine in Vista Ultimate but I'm not a Vista fan at all (let's not bother debating this please)

I have "obtained" XP MCE 2005 which has been pre-SP3'd, comes with "media center version 5.1.2700.2180" slipstreamed in (don't worry, key is legitimate)

I have tried "7.1.22.26025" (25/01/2008) and "7.2.9.26105" (14/04/2008) drivers for the card, re-booted and re-installed multiple times, I consistently get "TUNER NOT FOUND" and I've got no idea what's causing it.
EDIT: to clarify, the 2200 hasn't worked once under MCE at all, however under Vista works fine every time.
EDIT2: There is no yellow ! exclamation mark for it either, as far as the device manager is concerned it is installed correctly :/

Any suggestions on a solid known fix? I specifically googled and found a post by someone here who seemed quite happy with the card so there must be something I can do?
