3 Tuner configuration problem

I'm having problems with my MCE 2005 since I did a fresh install and added a 3rd tuner. I have 2 x Hauppauge Nova T (90002) tuner cards for FTA digital and 1 x Hauppauge PVR-150 for Austar (S-Video). I think there is a problem with the way I have configured the tuners in the registry (I've tried a number of different configurations). I've searched here and on the web for a solution from somebody with the same combination of tuners but I'm still having problems. What's been happening is when I am recording 2 FTA DVB channels I can't get the analogue card to record, I can't even change from 1 of the FTA channels to the analogue channels using the "press record" trick. I'm hoping someone has the same combination of cards working and can remember how they did it.

Amy help would be very much appreciated,

Oberg.

Re: 3 Tuner configuration problem

To add to my earlier post here is the way I have my tuners configured:

Digital Antenna B (Hauppauge Nova T)
Record Order = 2
Record Prefer = 0
Watch Order = 0
Watch Prefer = 0

Digital Antenna A (Hauppauge Nova T)
Record Order = 1
Record Prefer = 0
Watch Order = 1
Watch Prefer = 0

Analogue Satellite (hauppauge PVR-150)
Record Order = 0
Record Prefer = ffffffff
Watch Order = 2
Watch Prefer = ffffffff

Oberg.
A tuner CANNOT be both watch preferred and record preferred. If you go to the excellent post on how to set up multiple tuners you'll see the correct configuration for 3 tuners.

I am using this configuration without any problems

Krypto, Oberg is mixing analogue & digital - it's a very different story.

Oberg, try this:

Digital Antenna B (Hauppauge Nova T)
Record Order = 0
Record Prefer = 0
Watch Order = 1
Watch Prefer = 0

Digital Antenna A (Hauppauge Nova T)
Record Order = 1
Record Prefer = 0
Watch Order = 0
Watch Prefer = 0

Analogue Satellite (hauppauge PVR-150)
Record Order = 2
Record Prefer = ffffffff
Watch Order = 2
Watch Prefer = ffffffff

Remember to reboot.

Justin

Re: 3 Tuner configuration problem

Latest update, the tuner configuration seems to be working as expected, can change to analogue while DTV is recording using the "press record trick" thanks Justin. Now I'm going to try and get my head around how this works and exactly what the registry entries mean.

DND yes you need an Austar sub.

Oberg.
