I am tossing up whether to get 2 x A16A cards and Windows Remote
or to get 1 x dvb-t-plus (comes with mce compatible remote) and a dvb-t lite.
From what I have read, the cards are similar, so it comes down to the remote?
which remote is most common, does anyone use the Fusion remote, and does it work just like windows mce remote?
Winfast Remote, Fusion Remote, Imon Pad Remote and M$ Remote, and after weeks of cursing have finally got the M$ remote to do all the things I want. The Fusion remote is well built but as ExtremePC stated it only has limited function through MCE 2005. I find the I-Mon remote will do every thing (and more) than the M$ remote but, I am all thumbs and keep hitting the wrong button/s where as the M$ is laid out better (more open spaces) for people with big hands.
So for ease of use I would recommend the M$ remote and the Fusion card. I live on the fringe of digital transmission and receive excellent reception using the old analog aerial, with a Fusion HDTV Plus card.
i havent used it, ive got the old remote but i seen this remote at harvey normans with the plus and on some sites and it looks pretty good and more like a media center remote, so check which remote your getting with the dvico teh old or the new
yeah I second that sammy I have bought 4 different types of Digital cards and I have many remotes in boxes still, The MCE remote does pretty much all you could need, whats more they are cheap cheap.
I have had the dual A16A's from the start and they have been GREAT!
I started off with the iMon PAD remote and bought an MS remote because I needed the MS IR Receiver for my new MS MCE keyboard... and once using the MS remote I have not gone back to the iMon one... it is a great remote...
I concur with Matt - go the A16A's and MS Remote!
I will be replacing it with a Logitech Harmony 880... but that is a whole different league...
I just bought a second MCE 2005 Remote as I've added a MCE system at home. The MCE remote just works and works well. Got it for $64 at a local store. MCE 2005 has gone down in price too got a copy for $178.
Absolutley go with the MS remote (and the A16A's) - until you can find a few years of spare time and a months wages to play with a Pronto TSU7000. Then you are in a whole different ball game.
