Re: rollup 2 update KB900325 keeps failing

I've had the same problem twice. You're not going to like my answer... but it seems to be that when you install XP MCE with say SP2 already installed.... the very first windows update you need to install is RU2.
I did it in a different order and it won't install... the first times I did it.. I just let Windows Update decide the order... I'm not sure if it was because IE 7 or WM11 installed first ... or one of the other 55 updates, but when i did it this way, I had the same problem!
So, install MCE XP2, then immediately install RU2.
I don't know why, but thats the way it was for me.

Maybe you could try and install it manually http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...nter-2005.aspx
That worked for me when i had a similar problem.
