If you need to reboot you machine every day, then I think you should use this tool as it works for me

Re: keep losing guide and or channels

I changed to EPGstream Free*EPG yesterday to see if that would help... it hasnt, not at all.
So i'de say it's nothing to do with the epg solutions used, but f* me it's really annoying.

Re: keep losing guide and or channels

I had this problem on a system I set up as well. This occured despite having every possible update installed.

I was doing a bit of a cleanup of unused apps as well as trying to fix this problem, so some of the below may not be applicable to the fix.

1. Removed Compro Scheduler from the startup menu
2. Uninstalled Compro DVD
3. Used the MCE Reset tool from the downloads section
4. Uninstalled Bladerunner and reinstalled
5. Did the setup again
6. When scanning for channels I ensured I let it go to 100% (previously I stopped it early as I was testing)
7. Set the guide to manual download.

Since doing these steps I have had no guide issues.

One thing I noticed when it was playing up was that the edit channels listing had strange data (channels in the wrong spot, channels that could not be selected, channels missing an index number etc).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
imf

thanks imf, ill give it a go - i havent tried with manual download yet.
That strange data you were getting is exactly what I get after the guide/channels are deleted/go missing.

I'll let you know how it goes.
