Confirmation of MCE and Analog Channels

Hi

Im new to the AMCC forum, and Im new to Media Center Edition, MythTv, etc. I have a question with regards to analog channels and Media Center? Is Media Center designed for only digital signals and HDTV or can it still get the old channels that arn't over to the digital TV. Thing is i live Longreach many years away from digital TV implementation, but would still like to use MCE for analog channels.

I Have searched the web a bit trying to find a straight answer but nothing. So could someone let me know that yes it does support the old analog channels or No its only for digital and that i will have to wait quiet a while until i can use MCE.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again

Re: Confirmation of MCE and Analog Channels

Gidday Littlec,
Mce 2005 originaly supported Either Analog or Digital (not both at the same time), with an MCE compliant card.
With all the work done by developers (the legends that they are) with the right registry hacks you can now run Analog and digital, with none compliant cards. Just have a look around this great forum you will find what you need..

regards Blackjet
