can anyone guide me on the guide? channels are not matching up with the guide info

Hi Hi all

you folks may be able to help with this one, i finally got my machine up and running, not blowing my own trumpet but it looks great hooked up to the tv,

the problem I am having is I have downlaoded all the updates and i have downloaded the tv guide and have got the tv channels tuned in by cable about 20 channels in all,

whats happening is i am seeing world cup football on channel 1 but the guide is giving me info on channel 1 telling me it is a different channel name and info given is for chitty chitty bang bang!!

i tried to re-arrange the channels but it does not seem to work,

can anyone offer a quick fix, as one of the main reasons for getting the media center was for sceduling recordings,

hope you can help!!

cheers

J

I am not familiar wit cable but did you process the channelinfo file?
And did you edit the channel order accordingly to the channelinfo file?
Did you attach the guide listings to the correct channel?

Hi John,

You find this file in the Bladerunnerpro>Quickguide folder. You can open it up with notepad and edit. Just press save after you edited. Like I said, I do not have any experience with cable but with FTA tv it works as follows;

I always use the same channelnumbers for tv, MCE, VCR etc...
SbS = 28, channel 10 = 10 etc... This info is in your channelinfo file and has to match the channel numbers in Edit channel order in MCE. Also they have to match the set up in add listings to channel.
