MCE Themes v0.1 Beta

Ever wanted to edit the graphics, strings, sounds, animations, ... of Windows XP MCE? Now it is possible! MCE Themes gives the user the possibility to update the resources of Windows XP MCE.

Change the backgroud or just replace the welcome / intro sound. Get MCE Themes now and test the beta version!

Supported MCE versions: 2002 / 2004 / 2005 / 2005 Rollup 2 / 2005 Rollup 3

Looks interesting Olcay. I'm more of a "keep it standard" person myself but I'm sure youll have a lot more comments on here once everyone has gotten out of bed (it is a Monday morning afterall).

will certainly give this a go tonight when i get home. i remember a while ago someone released a similar one on TGB but after beta testing decided to sell it instead of making it freeware, so hopefully yours is to remain free?

Nothing like giving the interface a nice face lift

Does this have any included themes?

Hey . . .

Well - it installed ok(benneh - it doesn't appear to include any extra themes, just a method by which backgrounds and text can be changed/customised)

In my case, the "icons" and "fonts" tabs appear disabled - are they not implemented yet?

hey ok, well i have installed it and works fantastic, have only tried changing the background but so far so good.

I am going to set about creating a few themes for this with some of the nicer widescreen wallpaper I have, watch this space

when I open the program "open theme" is greyed out so I cannot even try the program. Perhaps it is because I am accessing the MCE box via remote desktop? Please help?

hey well the oen theme is greyed out because i think its a future option which is not functional yet, but you can still set the elements indiviually such as background images, sounds etc.

This thing is great, i have a much nicer background and finally got rid of that horrible startup sound

Cant wait for the final release.

i would but i managed to kill my MCE box today, and its gonna stay that way until i get some thermal paste

however the all spankin new MCE box is currently in pieces on the dining room table being assembled, so once the 6600gt arrives, you shall have your screen shots
