Error when installing BookmarkIt

Hey guys, I am trying to install the "BookmarkIt" plugin but am getting the below error:

'This addin can only be installed on media center editions of windows xp'.

I did some searching on here and found this:

Was it ever resolved as I'm having the exact same problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have even reinstalled MCE but I still can't get this to work!

Installed the Vista version on a friend's PC and it worked OK - just cant get this to work on XP.

Well after A LOT of screwing around reinstalling from scratch for the millionth time I decided to try the vista version of this plugin.......and guess what? It worked! Strange but true.
