Would save me having to go to other PC, fire up my wav editor, record with that and export as an mp3.
Perhaps someone has created a sound recorder plugin for MCE. Maybe it already does it lol
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

I'm not aware of anything that works within MCE itsels, but hands down the best net radio recorder is Replay AV. I've been using it since version 6 (when it was Replay Radio). In the current version (8), it records the native stream (so an asx stream results in an asf file).

The only streams I have problems with are the Austereo streams (TripleM, 2Day, etc.). I've lodged the fault with Applian (Replay) & we're both trying to find a solution. Basically what happens is that only 2/3 of the stream gets recorded (results in a jerky playback that's unlistenable). I'm not sure if it's some sort of tricky DRM, but I have been able to record it with another program - Webstream recorder pro. It's not as friendly.
With Replay AV, you'll need to take a little time to become familiar with it, but when you do it's very easy. If you can find the actual address of the stream (often masked when playing through a browser) then you should be able to record it. Replay has a sniffer that you can use to find the addresses if you can't see them.
Best of luck! PM me if you need any specific info & I'll help if I can.
Justin
