Talking AC3Filter 1.45b

The latest version of AC3Filter has been released. Version 1.45b seems to have fixed an occasional sound sync/skip issue I had and also the following in the release notes...
  • ACM codec is now included into the package
  • Tab labels are now translatable
  • All languages available so far integrated
  • Avoid poEdit '\r' warning when creating a translation file
  • Warning messages about dangerous options
  • Loud noise was possible after output format switch or SPDIF state change
  • Audio skips problem fixed once more

Seems good to me....your luck may vary

Re: AC3Filter 1.45b

I've always used AC3Filter to enable SPDIF passthrough.

I'm doing another fresh install and am looking for some advice. If I'm just trying to pass all sound straight to my amp, is the AC3Filter still needed? Is it possible to enable SPDIF passthrough without having to install it?

It's never been the most easy to understand software (like that option that goes something like "[Tickbox] SPDIF Passthrough (Disabled)" ..wtf!?!) and I always wondered if it was not needed in my situation...
