MakeDVD doesn't do 16:9? huuh???

Installed MakeDVD, burned a few DVD's all of them are standard TV format and not widescreen 16:9.
I have gone into the MakeDVD setup wizard several times and selected 16:9.
What's even strange is that the Cyberlink's customer support now says that MakeDVD 2 does not support widescreen.

I refuse to believe them, so is anyone using MakeDVD to burn in widescreen format?
