What Channels do you use?

OK what channels do you use when media Center scans it finds like 26 Channels but which do you keep?

With a proper HD set top box the HD channels are like 80 90 etc

So in Media Centre which ones do you not turn off.

Re: What Channels do you use?

Brent,

I keep 2, 7, 9, 10 & 21 (ABC2). I can't get SBS because of lack of reception. Once MS gets AC-3 sorted out for HD channels I'll either change to these or add them as additional channels.

Cheers

Matt.

Re: What Channels do you use?

As per above - but I also use ch3 and remap that ch28 - SBS Digital 1, and the other channel SBS Digital 2 (forgotten what it ch it appears as but its definately SBS Digital 2 in its name) and map that to ch29 (I dont know what it should be but for my setup I just want them close by - dont think I have ever watched the Foreign SBS News channel!)

I'd say you've got bad reception for channel 2. You use a Fusion card? Can you view channel 2 via the Fusion software?

If not I'd definately say reception is your problem and to investigate how you can make it stronger.

This can range from new fly leads, to replacing your coax to Quad Shield RG-6 from the antenna to your MCE box. Perhaps even a new antenna is the key.
Can be a tricky one to solve. Perhaps talk to your local antenna specialist and see what they've got to say? Do you know anyone that lives close by that you can check there digital reception? This may give you a feel for channel 2 reception in the general area.

Cheers

Matt.
