Re: How to use xbox 360 to change STB channels

The answer is yes, if I read your question correctly. The xbox360 in extender mode, is basicly a remote desktop connection to your media center pc in the lounge. If you setup your mediacenter PC in the lounge correctly to change the channels on your STB via the IR blasters, then this will flow onto the extender as well.

The Xbox 360 comes in three different versions

The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely at release in all regions except in Japan, and, as of April 25, 2008, 19 million units have been sold worldwide according to Microsoft. The Xbox 360 comes in three different versions: the "Arcade" console, the "Premium" console, and the "Elite" console, each having its own selection of included and available accessories.
