My MP3s don't play over extender

I've collected thousands of MP3s over my (many) years and finally finished putting them on the Vista PC on the weekend.

So, over I go and start up the jet engine of the XBOX360. Navigate through the entender interface to the music, add it to a queue, and start playing.

The first song was fine. The second song just froze the XBOX for a while, then an error in the bottom right hand corner appeared stating an audio error occurred. And I couldn't play any other songs until I rebooted the XBOX360. I walked over to the PC and played the same song in VMC with no issues.

What's going on? Any ideas?

(Is it time to 'retire' the jet-engine?)

I have burnt all my cd's to my pcs HDD as mp3 and play them through the internal music player of the 360. My 360 and Pc are networked wirlessly and i'm running Vista. I click the silver button on top of remote and choose select music, 'my pc' and it then shows all my music from shared music folder.
