Vista SP1 and Xbox360

I use my Xbox360 as a VMC Extender, and everything worked great until SP1.

I installed SP1 (RTM) and when I start up the extender for the first time, all is well, I can watch TV, recorded stuff, etc.

If I for whatever reason close the VMC Extender (or the console itself) and then start it again (doesn't matter how long after I shut it down), it will not start the TV. It will just show the rotating loading icon, and won't respond anymore.

Only way to watch TV again is to restart the entire computer.

It's worth mentioning that even while this happens, I can still watch TV through the computer itself - only the extender won't work.

Anyone else experience this? Did anyone who uses Xbox360 as an extender install SP1 on Vista and have different results?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Vista SP1 and Xbox360

How did you get your hands on SP1 RTM?

I didn't think it had been made available for download yet...

So there may not be too many people experiencing your problem (yet).

Re: Vista SP1 and Xbox360

yeah sorry, i think that is what you will find, not enough/any experience as this community prides itself on its stable machines. If it aint broke dont fix it philosophy.

I would suggest uninstalling and waiting for the official release and unsuspecting guinea pig testing
