Xbox 360 Turn off & Turn On again.

Occasionally, my wife turned off the xbox (after being in the extender mode), when I wanted to watch TV.

I noticed if you turn off the xbox, then press the media center (Green button) within seconds then often the extender simply can't connect to the PC. I needs to wait for awhile - may be around 30 sec - 1 minutes - before it can connect again.

Does any other people experiencing this too?

Thanks....

Re: Xbox 360 Turn off & Turn On again.

Yes, this is caused by the previous login still being connected. When the extender or xbox360 disconnects from media centre the session is logged out, but if your pc is under a bit of a load, or is a tad slow it can take a minute.

When the extender/xbox360 connects to media centre it logs into the PC, similar to the way a normal user logs in to the pc, its just done in the background.

So you see, its the same as if you log out of windows then try to log straight back in again, you would need to wait for the "Logging out" screen pass so you then log back in.

Am I making any sense?

Yep, this has happened to me too, I put it down to being a log in issue also. Not a major hassle.
