MCE Responsivness After Fall Update

Anyone else using their Xbox as a MCE extender finding it's responsiveness to be really bad?

This would run fine before the update but after, it's slow to respond to selections from the remote, falls out of sync, and looses connection with the MCE every now and then.

Anyone else getting this or is it just me?

I've always found ti unreliable; sometimes its fast, sometimes its sllooooooooowww.

But I can no longer access my music ... the MCX just freezes and then XBOX shows its "an unexpected error" screen..

Re: MCE Responsivness After Fall Update

I haven't noticed MCX being slower, but I have been using the dashboard a lot more for playing most of my videos now as I am sick of transcode skipping randomly during playback and not being able to skip forwards/backwards properly.

The actual 360 dash is very noticably faster to use than the previous version.

I have not noticed much difference after the update. Its just as (un)reliable and flaky as before. Other than when trying to stream XVID video with DD 5.1 audio. With XVID/DD 5.1 it sometimes hangs and/or loses voice sync. Stopping and resuming usually fixes it. Never noticed this before when using H264/AAC stereo videos.

Given it at least works with XVID now and with DD 5.1, I am pretty happy with the update.

MCX seems less reliable when under stress. It sometimes hangs etc, but only when competing for resources by one other client or the MCE server is recording etc... Not sure this is the fault of the update though as I have always had random problems like this.
