Xbox 360 cannot playback recorded tv from HTPC
I realise this may have been covered previously on this forum, as it seems pretty obvious, but i'm struggling to find it via search....
I recently got hold of an xbox 360, and have set it up as an MC extender without any issues. I can now watch live TV on the TV that the 360 is connected to via the tuner card in my HTPC. But when i try to play back any programs on the 360 that i've recorded on my HTPC, I get a "Video Error" on the 360, saying it can't play back the file, restart media center or something like that.
I'm wondering if the codec i'm using on my HTPC (whic is running Vista Ultimate) is recording things in a format the 360 can't understand? I think i'm using the PowerDVD codec, but will have to double check. Anyone else had this issue?
