Re: FIJI Has been Released!

I know this is the equivalent of Duke Nukem Forever, but does DVD playback, FF and RW work in VMC with AVIVO CODEC in this version of VMC? Or is that still 'When Its Done'?

Thanks.

Tivo, PS3 with TV tuner, Foxtel HD (with all FTA stations included) etc etc. Is an MS product as the underlying platform really worth the hassle anymore?
NO! Do not forget the Topfield & Beyond PVR´s. I do not know how the HD pic´s looks like with those apps but if they are OK, I will retire this never ending fiddling with media centre pc´s.

Re: FIJI Has been Released!

I think the biggest advantage of EIT is that you don't have to worry about record paddings. I recorded the Olympic Opening Ceremony and it ran 45 mins over the scheduled finish of 1am. But with EIT, MC just keeps on recording until the actual program finishes.

That's assuming it's being dynamically updated all the time - I think you'll find the Olympics might be a special case.

Re: FIJI Has been Released!

oh, for Petes sake. Nothing is as ridiculous as a bunch of geeks/enthusiasts whining about how they have been let down by <insert software company>

Dont like it: switch to a different product. It really is the best way to 'show em youre not happy'

Like it/doesnt affect you: continue ISQ

want to prove what a jackass you are: keep posting pics of your myth getup

Regardless of Fiji, MS etc, I totally agree with what Mr Tucker is saying about orderly and respectful interaction on forums.

People sometimes forget they are adults.

I can't try this link from work, but I will when I get home.
Hope it's live and not a virus infested PITA file that should be first against the wall when the revolution comes....

On another note, it's astonishing how much anguish the guide or absense thereof is causing now that we're used to it
