Re: Must-have addins

Great list. Some stuff I'd given up on that I might try again.

Ad skipping using DVRMS Toolbox with showanalyzer

Has anyone got the Media Control Plugin or similar add-in working in Vista for ffw/rew of divx etc?

Re: Must-have addins

myTV - Hands down the best Vista application for managing all those archived TV series. It auto downloads banners, series covers, episode synopsis from thetvdb.com.

Will sone be able to be run as a server/client so one database/server can serve multiple machines.

Unfortunately at the moment there is only the commercial build available ($10US) but in the next day or so there will be a trial version. There's been some pretty heavy duty beta testing going on and it's very close.

MCOrganizer - The prettiest movie application out there. Still only early days in development, and uses a paid application called Movie Collector to manage the movies, put it is very nice. If development continues at the pace it has it will be even better.

others I use that have already been mentioned are

BigScreen Weather & BigScreen Photo's.

OK, so I've been over the Herman van Eijk's web site and had a look at the info.
About to start experimenting with sleep state but suspect I'll be downloading MST soon..

Re: Must-have addins

Nobody here uses Webguide?
http://www.asciiexpress.com/webguide/

Installs a light-weight http server which allows you to connect to your MC PC through a web interface. You can browse the channel guide, schedule recordings, and stream your media (sometimes called "placeshifting").

I actually prefer using Webguide when I'm looking for something. Plus, if I'm at work and I hear about something I want to record, I can just log on and schedule it so I don't forget

jr_kng - whislt your enthusiasm is recognised, please refrain from repetitive new posting of the same/similar/updated information.

We need to try and simplify searches and having the duplicated or even similar lists appearing in different forums spanning many weeks doesn't help that process.

I've closed the other threads and merged the two active ones so it's possible that the date sequence & replies may be confusing but that's unavoidable.

Please use this thread for further updates.

Mike

Good thread but needs sorting and formatting fixed up, a little convoluted to follow....a top 20 and a list of specific/most common used would be more useful. Have any of you seen http://Moremce.com.
