Media Center
Continued, Home server stylish cases...

Please see this thread first, this is a continuation as you can no longer post in the other one.

Well, I reckon I've decided to with the alternative for increasing capacity on my media center.

http://omaura.com/hardware.html

That is, no WHS, just add to the disk pools by going the Esata option, because stackable designs like Omaura's are more suited to the living room design, similar to Silverstonetek's solution, but sleeker and designed to match the HTPC cases.
Your not at the mercy of a network.

Say you get divorced and move into a 5 story block of flats because the WAF gets to stay in the house, you can pack up the gear and tack all your media with you, and set it up in your new place.:-))))

I mean, really, what would you do if you did not have "any" network capabilities.

I mean, apart from the 1 touch backup solutions and some advantages of server 2003 technology, I can't see that I would benefit much from WHS.
I'm confident the main HTPC running 24/7 can service most needs of the average htpc user.

I'm in the process of selecting parts for my WHS, and have just about decided on the NZXT Hush. Looks good, decent specs and costs $125 pp.

Yes, that case has plenty of capacity and looks pretty snazzy.

I've been doing my research on this case, and all reviews seem pretty positive. The noise dampening foam is very effective as well. Looks like it's the winner for me
