WHS Autologon ??

Hello! I have put together a second box to work as a server. I have always intended to use xp on it, as all I really wanted to do was share drives for video folders basically, which can be easily done.

However, for curiousities sake I wanted to give WHS a burl. I really like the interface. Easy enough for the likes of me, a ''hardware guy'', with zero significant experience fiddling with servers.

My specs are in my sig.

There is one niggle. When its ''on" it works great, but after a period of a few hours I notice the connection is lost and vista cannot log back in. When I get onto the WHS box, its needs a restart to get going again. I have played with power management andset it to always on, got rid of request pasword on resume from screensaver etc

what I'd like to achieve -

1. When the server box switches on it automatically logs in to admin account. (ie.Not require any input password etc) Security isnt a concern for me - kids and gf are terrified to meddle and all the stuff on there is will be backed up onto dvds and easily restored(eventually)

2. Vista WHS login is always on - im not sure if it would stay on if the server box didnt drop our logoff... If it was just vista logging off though, I should have been able to log back in easily enough - but it doesnt as the connection seems to be lost on teh server rig side.

any suggestions?? - I know there are some very knowledgable server people around here !

thanks in advance !!

Re: WHS Autologon ??

lolz.... whilst everyone was rushing to post a response I found the answer...

for those passers by that are curious - there are 2 ways, one easy, one silly

the easy way is to simply install the MS Tweak UI Powertoy and configure it from there

You can get that HERE

There is a longer way, with reghacks and what not - but that'd be silly when the above method is so easy even I could manage it
