I've set-up my Vista Ultimate media centre so it logs in without a password but there is a problem. Sometimes when the machine goes to sleep, or I access it through remote access, I'm required to log back in.
This means getting out the keyboard and doing so..... which I hate!!!
How can I avoid this. It's just a media centre so I don't want or need that sort of security.
Control Panel, Power Options, Choose What the Power Buttons Do - set the radio button to "Doesn't require a password" in the "Password protection on wakeup"

IT seems whenever I do remote desktop (login, do something and close the window), the host goes into 'login mode'. I've got two accounts on the machine, so login mode forces me to select one and type in password.
I did the trick to make boot work, and the trick for the screensaver, but any advise on how to stop it loging off the destop when you use RDS?
I also use VNC, but RDS is a little better?
