MCE Black Theme (Back in Black)

I have been looking for a black theme for media centre and stumbled accross this New Theme for Vista Media Center (Back In Black) , I would have posted this in that thread but it's locked because it's over 316days old?

Anyway, I was just wondering if this theme still works after SP1 and which of the 3 revisions is the one to go for? The middle download (Revision) link is dead, anyone know where I can get it now.

Thanks for your help.

I had the theme up and running. Then when I applied Vista SP1, the original blue colour appeared.

So, I think that it won't work on SP1 machines...

Re: MCE Black Theme (Back in Black)

SP1 changed media centre mods back to standard MS issue ...... I would bet you could swap out the dll file again and it would be fine.

Hi !

I installed the VISTA SP1... after that I downloaded (a couple days ago) the MCEFX and selected 1 skin but it didn´t work... it says, continuously, that MCE working (which is not true) so it can´t apply the changes. I have "killed" all the applications related to MCE but still doesn´t work (i.e. don´t apply the new selected skin).
Can somebody explain me (step-by-step) please, how to modify the main MCE Blue Theme? I am frankly wishing to modify the skin, type of letter, etc, but seems to be impossible to do with with the only program I have (MediaCenterFX).
On the other hand, I am not a computer guy but I would appreciate if somebody can give the steps to follow...

Thanks !

Victor
