Delayed crashes

I have tried both an Hauppage HVR 900 and a Compro USB tuner in Vista and WMC. Everything seems to go Ok and then suddenly, WMC shuts down with an errir saying there has been a system failure and to contact my hardware vendor. Everything else seems to work perfectly.

Anyone else seen this behaviour and any suggestions? System is an Acer Ferrari 5000 / 2GB RAM and Vista Ultimate.

when your computer re-boots go to the event viewer in 'administrative tools'. Look at the entry's for system and applications. It may help you track down the problem.

It also could be a ram issue. If your ram is configured using two modules try using one at a time and seeing if that fixes the problem

Sorry if I intimated that the computer crashed. Only WMC does...
