Vista suddenly decided not to sleep

I have had S3 sleep working fine and stable for some time. Since the start of this week it has decided not to sleep (even when I tell it to). Screen will go off but machine will not shutdown.

I was wondering If anyone has had a similar problem this week due to an auto update or the like?

Re: Vista suddenly decided not to sleep

My VMC stopped sleeping correctly a few months ago. In frustration I installed MST which fixed the problem. Then I developed another sleep problem which was finally solved by moving a MS keyboard to a different USB port.

S3 sleep problems are often related to USB issues. Also make sure that you've disabled the keep this PC awake whilst media sharing option in the power state settings.

If all else fails try MST, it's a great little tool.
