Playing DVR-MS over network from VMC

Hi Guys

I'm having problems playing recorded DVR-MS through my network (100mbps) using XP pc's, from a VMC. Looks like channels 7, 9, 10 other channels seem to be ok. Is this an AC3 problem? I've even copied a file over to a xp pc, opened it up using Media Player 11 and sounds like chimpmunks some won't even play as if they are paused, I've installed FFDshow and still have the same problem. Could someone please fill me on on how to fix this problem?

Thankyou in Advance

R.

Yep, usually AC3. Have you set up FFDShow to decode AC3? See attachment (select SPDIF if you're using digital audio out).

Justin, thanks for your reply

Yes I did set up ffdshow to decode AC3 on my xp laptop which is'nt using SPDIF and its still the same, Even tried it on another XP box, same on that too...
Any other suggestions? Perhaps using the wrong version of ffshow?

Thanks

Re: Playing DVR-MS over network from VMC

I think pre SP2 ther was a hotfix from MS about it, but you should be past that now.

Maybe try AC3 filter instead of FFDShow?
