Unexplained video resizing?

Overnight my avi videos have gone from displaying at full screen to having black bars on each side (kinda letterbox view rather than widescreen). I havent updated any drivers etc and checked for any VMC auto updates (there havent been any). Has anyone else experienced this between yesterday and today?

I havent seen anything like this on my system, but sounds like it may be the codecs. Have found them to do strange things from time to time seemingly out of the blue.

I would check any settings if your codecs have some sort of control panel (from memory in FFDShow that I use there is a setting for the aspect ratios), but if not or not sure, uninstall and reinstall and see if it fixes your issue.

Has someone been playing with the zoom settings? Try hitting Ctrl-Shift-Z and toggling through the settings.
