Unhappy Getting Media Centre to Recognise Composite Inputs

My new Dell Inspiron shipped pre-bundled with an AVerTV Hybrid NanoExpress DVB TV tuner. I can capture local channels with Vista Media Centre just fine with it - works a treat. But I am unable to get the software to look for composite inputs.

I am trying to run my Xbox 360 through the card to capture game footage / film clips.

Despite playing around with it and wasting a cumulative total of about 4 hours searching the web and this site and trying new things I still havn't found a solution. And the pre-bundled Dell product apparently doesn't support conventional AverMedia software!?

I found this earlier forum: MCE doesn't notice Composite or SVideo!! and it seems to suggest that this simply isn't possible (although the hardware here is different).

Is this the case, composite video input through Vista Media Centre simply isn't feasible? If not then how?

Thanks!

Re: Getting Media Centre to Recognise Composite Inputs

I had an AverMedia card a while back that I used for video capture, and from memory I think I used WinDVR3.
