Vista MCE with 360

I have a whole bunch of movies on my PC which play fine through vista WMP and MCE. But when i connect to MCE through my xbox 360 none of the movies play. Does anyone know of a way around this? thanks

What format are the movies in?

Some DivX's dont play unless you change the fourCC code to xVid, and other formats like MKV just dont play AFAIK

Neither xvids, divxs or MKVs will play through the Media Extender interface on the Xbox 360 - it simply isn't supported. Xvid/divx play through the blade interface, but MKVs don't play at all.

Cameronh, you can ask again tomorrow, but the answer will still be the same.

You can try running Transcode 360 to transcode the videos on the fly, but it's not a great result as it taxes the host PC pretty hard.
