muffled audio on 9HD

I have Vista installed as well as the Vista codec pack. Please don't tell me to uninstall the codec pack, it's not an option since I do in reality use quite alot of the codecs it comes with as well as the haali splitter.

I was wondering if anyone experienced muffled voices on 9HD in Sydney. All the other channels play fine but not 9HD. The sound is very faint/muffled. Any advice appreciated.
Any idea what format the audio is in for 9HD? If I knew I might have a look at the settings in the codec config.

I'm running 1xnebula PCI and 2xtiny USB2 tuners in the system.

TIA!

Re: muffled audio on 9HD

9HD uses Dolby Digital 5.1 - if you're outputting SPDIF to a receiver, then you need to run the VMC speakers setup wizard to tell it that. All other channels are either DD2.0 or MPEG 2 channel audio.

In terms of your codec pack, you can install individual versions of Haali & FFDshow - it is a safer approach.

Excellent. Running through the speaker setup fixed the issue up.
