Screen outpu switching off since re-build

I have re-built my system over the weekend and now have a strange thing happenning, when I go into menu items the screen output to my tv stops, when I hit a button on the remote it comes back. This appears to be random adn happens when entering different menus. System is still running just the output seems to go to sleep.
