No audio in live TV

Hi there,

I have Vista Media Center (64-bit) setup with my AverMedia DVB-T tuner. In the past, it has worked flawlessly.

Now, for some reason, audio ONLY in live TV has completely stopped working. All previous recorded TV is fine.

I have tested the tuner in other software (i.e. the manufacturer's software) and there is perfect audio, therefore an issue with Vista MC.

I've checked with GraphEdit exactly what filters are used for playing live vs recorded TV and they are entirely identical. It seems to me, that when Media Center is buffering the data received from the tuner to disk, it's not passing the audio channel into it.

Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on here? It's certainly not a codec issue as it uses the same Microsoft codec for playing recorded TV as it does for live TV.

I just can't find any solution.

Re: No audio in live TV

Been there, done that. A hundred times.

It is most definitely not a computer sound issue because recorded TV works absolutely fine. Which also indicates there are no problems with the setup in Media Center.

I have completely cleaned Media Center out (removed eHome from ProgramData) and did everything again to no avail.

It is certainly not a misconfiguration issue.
