Re: Current Vista Pricing....

ok had a chance to check.....

vista home $49
Home premium $79

and to all the other dealers out there check next time ur ordering windows XP the suppliers are actualy chargeing extra for a copy of XP with a FREE coupon!!!!!

tried ringing MS auzzie.... they said "we dont set the priceing"
rang supplier they said "if i email to this address then someone would look into it for me..." (they couldnt tell me anything wilst i was on the phone there and then!!!!)

windows MCE can only upgrade to home premium and it doesnt look like u can upgrade to ultiment @ all!!!

in the terms and conditions it asks for a ORIGINAL recipt for the system.... soo.... technicaly u can only buy XP OEM pre loaded on a new PC then if u just buy it over the counter then MS are gonna know about it soooo 1 they can shoot the retailer.... 2 they can say nooooo in the T&C it says pre loaded so rather then being free upgrade its now $199 the payment has allready been debited from ur CC and ur new copy of vista will be there in 5-7 working days have fun

(u have to enter ur CC details online to get a "order confirmation number" to write on the forum to then send to MS)(so say hello S*** creek and here is ur paddle)

what u need is a shonky dealer that will sell u a new "PC" on ur invoice so u can get a copy of XP home on it to then u pay for XP and they reverse the invoice for the PC

Re: Current Vista Pricing....

I was planning on purchasing parts and building a new pc im sure there are ways around all this I could always spend the extra $50.00 and get them to put it all together for me and get windows installed by them, thats just as good. Also i though it just had to be purchased with suitable hardware i.e mobo, hdd, cpu, etc????
