re: New util: MC Menu Mender

This util can only deal with OEM apps - i.e. those registered in the windows registry. The menu items you mention are built directly into the Media Center dlls.

I am currently working on an app that will allow you to delete, reorder and move the built in menu items around, but a beta of this will probably be another couple of weeks away at the very earliest. If you're interested in doing this manually, have a look at this thread.

re: New util: MC Menu Mender

Does this let you reorganise existing menus, like can it remove button from the Pictures and videos etc.

Mine does what someone else posted.

if you click say the plus sign on TV and movies it just hangs

re: New util: MC Menu Mender

No, this app can only deal with 3rd party apps. As I said in my last post, i'm in the process of writing an app that *will* allow you to make modifications to the built in menus.

I'm afraid I won't be spending any more time on bugfixes with this app as I would rather spend the time on the new one.

Keep us posted on the progress of the new app. When you get it ready for beta, I would definitely be interested.

Indeed, so get on with it Advent.

Only joking, I am looking forward to the functionality that the new app can bring.

Thanks for having the inclination to want to use your time to code.

I'm trying, i'm trying!

Now if only the girlfriend also had an inclination to use my time to code, this would be done a whole lot quicker...

Thanks for the testing offers - i'll keep you all posted.

Chicks man.......

Mine decided it would be good to fall pregnant and so that has put a whole heap of my time to tinker on the back burner (although I do get the odd minute here and there).

I'm surprised you've got any time at all, then!

I've attached a quick progress shot - not all this is fully functional yet, but it's coming along nicely. Drag & drop to move items around between strips, uncheck the strip to disable it.
