Man, I don't know how many total downloads there have been, but only 1000:1 doesn't sound that great.
So if you are reading this and have benefitted from this great app, why not donate even a couple or 5 bucks to the cuase. As with most on this forum, I doubt Advent got into this in the first place to make money but covering costs would be nice for him.
Please note that I do not personally know Advent (only via this tread), nor has he asked me to write, but come on, if this has helped you, a couple of bucks from lots of people could add up.
About Windows 7, I actually don't have it (was just curious), so can't get you the ehres.dll, but I am sure others following this topic may be able to help out.

Reason: typos
I stumbled upon mc menu mender while looking for solutions to get external applications to work with my vmc-64. Congratulations to Advent building such a nice and easy to use tool!!! It saves so much time and nerves fiddling araund with guid-creation and registry editing, perfect.
There is however one suggestion for improving the wrapper from my side:
I am using 2 monitors and like to come up powerdvd and any other image/video app on the secondary monitor in fullscreen mode. For applications like zoomplayer and dvbviewer the wrapper works perfect because I can set these options within the programs.
However when I try to attach powerdvd8 I have the problem that I don't have any possibility to specify the start location of the app on the desktop. Since you are already wrapping the apps it should be easy to add starting locations like
start on monitor x
start in mode fullscreen/window/window centered
With regards to Windows 7, I don't have any plans to get Menu Mender working with it in the near future, but I would be interested in having a peek inside the new ehres.dll if you can be bothered uploading it somewhere. Who knows, it might be an easy tweak and I might do it soon after all
The whole menu is different (in a good way I think) which is probably the reason for the error. The cool thing is that all of my other plug-ins are working (so far).
In regards to donations, I definitely think more people should be donating. This app is too important to stop being supported! I'll be chipping in next paycheck (I promise).
Hello from germany,
Since you are already wrapping the apps it should be easy to add starting locations like
start on monitor x
start in mode fullscreen/window/window centered
You're right, that wouldn't be too difficult - i'll definitely consider it for a future release. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for that. Yep, it is definitely quite different, although I haven't had time to look into it much.

I hope I'm not asking this question for the million time :-)
Just downloaded this awesome app and it seem to be running on Vista x64 pretty well.
I ran int oa couple of issues and I was hopping someone can help me understand:
1. Once I create one new strip, the "create ne strip" button is getting disabled - hence I cannot add anymore strips
2. When trying to move some of the system generated icons such PlayDVD, I only see green + in the existing strips. It would not let me move the icon onto the new strip I created. It does let me move around third party icons or icons from the Entry Point
Hi All,

You cannot have more than 2 custom strips. You probably have another app that already created the other one.

You cannot put built in icons onto custom strips - only 3rd party icons.
Both of these restrictions go away with TV Pack 2008.
He's not usually allowed to be bored for very long - I have a long list of things I need help with in the house/garden Not to mention the fact that we have a wedding to plan...
hehe.. I like it. husband wife combos on forums are a riot. Of course, if my missus ever did it, I wouldnt be amused
Im sure after having had a look here that you are at least safe in the knowledge at least that he's not wasting his time on gambling, other women and booze
Just tried this out and it's great! Well done Advent.
One thing, I had previously installed an add in that put it's own strip on the menu, but MC Menu Mender doesn't show that strip. Any idea why? I'd really like to be able to remove that strip.

No, no idea at all unfortunately. If you can create a support package (About->Create support package) and PM it to me, and tell me which strip it is that isn't appearing in Menu Mender, I might be able to help.
While you're around, is there a known reason why when I create a custom strip & then throw a few entry points in there, the focus (or default item) on the strip will only remain on the extreme left item? i.e. If there are 5 items, I can't make no. 3 the default when navigating to that strip.
Thanks,
Justin

Yep, the known reason is that that's just how it works for custom strips
I think if you have TV Pack 2008 you can set the default item in custom strips (so long as you create them using Menu Mender), as custom strips are then created and treated the same as normal strips.
