Re: epg program guide

There is guide over at FreeEPG explaining how to set things up. You will also find a post or two in the EPG forum explaining other nuances in the process. I'd suggest a search / read over there.

If you are still stuck you will need to provide more of an explanation of what symptoms you have and what you've tried so far. Plenty of people happy to help around, but specifics of your problem are vital.

Re: epg program guide

I have the same issue with FreeEPG,

I would like to have the guide for 9HD and 9SD as Thursday they air different programs although I do not get any guide data for 9SD.

When I setup my channels I did associate the guide from 9SD to 9HD.

Does anyone else have this issue, I have searched around the forum although I'm having trouble finding a specific post that will assist.

Cheers

Ok, maybe it's just me, but I'm finding that post extremely difficult to understand.

It seems to me like you associated the 9SD listings with the 9HD channel, and are wondering why you can't get any listings on 9SD. If that's the case, it's a fairly straightforward answer - You can't do that.

You cannot add the same listing to 2 different channels. So map the 9SD listings to your 9SD channel, and map the 9HD listings to the 9HD channel.

If I'm incorrect in my reading of your post, can you clarify what's going on.

Re: epg program guide

You are 100% correct I have associated the 9SD listings to 9HD and I see what it will not work.

Although if I remove the association 9HD will not have any guide data, this is how it appeared when I first setup the guide in accordance with the FreeEPG instructions.

Is there an issue with FreeEPG getting the guide data for 9HD?
Should I be using another service for my guide for my guide listings?
Is there another service that as easy to use as FreeEPG thats free?
Is 9 withholding this information intentionally to **** us all off?

Sorry for the questions................

Cheers

Re: epg program guide

The standard listings don't include the SD shows that are on HD, it'll only list the HD programs.

So if you associate the HD guide details with the HD channel, it will show 'No Data' (or something similar) most of the time, just keep going right on the guide and eventually something will show up.

There are combined feeds but since I don't use FreeEPG I don't know what they are.

Try the FreeEPG forums over at their site.

Re: epg program guide

For a combined feed (SD and HD) just use the FTA EPGStream feed as opposed to the FTA OzTiVo feed, easy as that.

To change feeds you just need to go through the Setup Guide process on your MCE again.
