Where does Foxtel get its FTA EPG data?

As per the title. Now that all the FTA channels and listings are available from Foxtel, where/how do they get this data.

Do they license it, scrape it, or what?

I believe it is supplied by the networks themselves individually. As noted in the press, this forum and others the EPG in the Foxtel service for FTA channels has been added piecemeal channel at a time, based on this you would then have to come to the conclusion that the data is NOT coming from an agregator service like NineMSN or HWW.

It's part of the rebroadcasting agreement that Foxtel have with the networks. It's also why SBS' whinging over the cost of supplying an EPG is a load of BS - they already compile it for Foxtel!

They have a commercial agreement in place with HWW, who supply all the data to them on behalf of the stations that they are supposedly licenced to.
