Problems with SBS

I've been having problems with SBS. I am using epgstream.net guide. What happen is that I set up the guide, I do a scan. I'm setting up ABC1, ABC2, SBS, 7 Digital, 9 Digital, 10 Digital, 7HD and 10HD. I set it all up and it works beautifully for a day or two. I edit the channels and untick all the others apart from the ones I want.
Then, all of a sudden, the rest of the SBS channels appear in the guide, eg SBS radio, SBS news (which I don't want), SBS HD. I didn't go in and tick them to appear, they just do. So I go in and untick them... which gets rid of them, but now original SBS no longer works (it says signal not found even though the siginal is actually fine), and I have to completely retune everything to get it to work again.

Any ideas?

Re: Problems with SBS

I assume you're running vista with SP1. If so make sure you've applied these registry keys.

Re: Problems with SBS

I have the same problem at the moment only with SBS's channels and only started to happen today.

It was OK in the past few months.

Re: Problems with SBS

Hi Mitty, You're not the only one to notice problems with SBS EPG. I use Free-EPG and Oztivo. No SBS EPG at all today and I noticed there's SBS2 now. I'll give it another day before I start seeking answers as this type of problem usually means Free-EPG are tweaking things and once corrected, the EPG will come back to normal. Someone else may add light to this issue in the meantime. At least, for now, you know you're not the only one having the trouble. Just very disconcerting when it happens at a time when you are setting it up!

Re: Problems with SBS

All should be fixed now - EpgStream from Free-EPG has reported that the problem with the xml data is now fixed. Problems happened whilst they were away on the long weekend..

All EPG back to normal in SA.

Re: Problems with SBS

Hi all,
I'm in Perth, and I too have lost all SBS channels, I am assuming it is a carry over of the same issue last week, but if someone else from Perth can tell me that they have SBS i may have to try something new.

p.s I'm using twin HVR-2200

This thread is about losing SBS data from the guide. You appear to have a signal problem. Try posting in the Tuners thread.

Re: Problems with SBS

I don't think it's a tuner problem or a signal problem. I have the same problem. About 3 times now Media Center has lost all the SBS channels.

My non-Media Center TV software doesn't lose SBS though so the frequency of the broadcast mustn't be changing. When this happens I have to rescan for channels to find SBS.

Is epgStream.net causing this? There's no uninstall option for this program.
